Central South University has achieved international prestige in the past years .Due to the productive staff,high level of scientific research and activity in conducting scientific and technological cooperation with other countries,international exchange programs are multiplying .It has agreements on bilateral exchanges and cooperation with more than 100 universities ,and has established academictries and reseach ties with over 300 institutes in about 30 countries and regions.Every year,several hundred scholars and experts from many parts of the world are invited to the university to give lecturesand do joint research .A number of long-term foreign language experts and teachers are employed to help improve the university's teaching of foreign languages .On the other hand ,several hundred staff members of the university are sent abroad ,or to Hong Kong.Macao and Taiwan for further learning,lecturegiving,international conferences and symposiums or joint research.And every year CSU sponsors a number of international conferences and symoposiums or joint research.And every year CSU sponsors a number of international conferences .In recent years,the number of overseas students has increased greatly.Now we have over one hundred overseas students from more than 30 countries studying at the university.
