On November 7, a 15-person delegation led by Mr. Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone visited the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, accompanied by the leaders from Foreign Affairs Office and Department of Health of Hunan government. Prof Li Jian, the Party secretary of the CSU Committee met the delegation. Prof Tian Yongquan, vice president of the University and dean of Xiangya School of Medicine and leaders of the Second Xiangya Hospital attended the meeting. President Kabbah had a physical examination at the hospital and was impressed with the medical facilities, technology and hospitality of the University. He was grateful that the hospital sent medical teams to aid Sierra Leone people. President Kabbah hoped that Hunan could provide more medical support badly needed in Sierra Leone. He is the first foreign state head who visited Central South University. |
