On November 10, South China Center for Medical Education Research & Development was established at Xiangya School of Medicine. The Center is supported by China Medical Board of New York (CMB) with the total investment of 1082,000 US dollar. The goal of the Center is to promote reform and development of medical education in the provinces in South China. Its partner at the US is Washington University where 6 medical staff from Xiangya School of Medicine had 9-month training in medical education.
