A grand centennial celebration of Xiangya Hospital was held on October 18. The hospital is one of the earliest hospitals of modern medicine and reputed both in China and abroad for its strict management, excellent leechcraft and outstanding talents. As a large number of famous medical experts such as Zhang Xiaoqian, Tang Feifan and Li Zhenpian were cultivated and working here, Xiangya was made famous by the saying: “ Xiangya is the best in South (China)”. Attended the ceremony were representatives of the major partners including Yale-China Association, China Medical Board of New York, Kagashima University and Nagasaki University.
